The Mozart Club recently enjoyed a program of Christmas music by the Mozart Chorus under the direction of Merrillie Schmidt. Held at the First Presbyterian Church on Dec. 9, the performance included some lesser-known works such as “Pavane for a Silent Night” based on the Maurice Ravel work, “Pavane for a Dead Princess” and “Falling Snowflakes” among others. As an extra treat, guest artists Sadie, Emma and Molly Anderson gave a charming performance of flute, violin, piano and voice. Rounding out the morning was a sing-along of familiar Christmas carols. The next meeting of the Mozart Club will be held at the Marvin Community House, Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. The Multiple Interest Program will feature Katherine O’Hagan on piano.
