East Fairmount Avenue Store Begins Sales
LAKEWOOD — The OfficeMax located in the village of Lakewood will close its doors in mid-May. The 318 E. Fairmount Ave. store, located next to the Chautauqua Mall, began announcing closing sales late last week. Sarah England, a spokeswoman for Office Depot Inc., said the company “continues to optimize its retail footprint,” and as a result, the local OfficeMax would close May 16. “We will continue to serve our customers online at officedepot.com,” England said. The company did not state how many employees are at the Lakewood store.
