Weeklong DFT Celebration Event

For 120 years, DFT Communications has been providing quality service for telephone, internet, security and IT customers around Chautauqua County, and beyond.

February of this year marked the anniversary of when Arthur Maytum began offering telephone service to residents of the village of Fredonia out of his grocery store on Water Street.

Since then, the business has expanded its service to thousands of residential and business customers. At the heart of it, this local family-owned company has always aimed at being a positive influence on the community it calls home.

That’s why, to celebrate 120 years, DFT Communications is hosting 120 Hours of DFT. For a full week, there will be events and programs planned for both employees and the community to commemorate this milestone.

Things kick off on Monday, July 16, with a show from Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics at 38 Temple St. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., families can either watch the exciting and educational animal show, buy some cotton candy and candy apples, or have fun on one of two bounce houses. All of it, except whatever concessions visitors would like to purchase, is free.
