Mistretta Promoted By SmartEdge
FALCONER – SmartEdge has promoted James Mistretta to general manager of energy and commissioning services.
Mistretta joined SmartEdge more than eight years ago as an operations manager for the company’s energy services and performance contracting business in Western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania. As operations manager Mistretta successfully managed more than $30 million in projects. Since joining SmartEdge, officials said Mistretta and his team have made significant strides in both operations and customer service.
Recently, Mistretta managed a key SmartEdge energy project at the Fort LeBoeuf School District that involved major HVAC renovations; security, access and video; LED lighting retrofits; and a state-of-the-art mass notification system. The project was completed on time and on budget.
Mistretta’s experience began while serving in the United States Air Force as a civil engineer, where he attended the Career College of the United States Air Force. Mistretta went on to work as the energy and project manager of the Penn Traffic Company. Mistretta was also a member of the Local 36 union in Buffalo as a refrigeration journeyman. His 30 years of experience with heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and construction management has given him an understanding of commercial, educational, manufacturing, health care and municipal facilities.
As the new general manager of energy and commissioning services, Mistretta will oversee comprehensive energy analyses; implementation of energy savings programs and projects; energy savings design/build construction; and building commissioning.
”The value I bring to SmartEdge is a strong enthusiasm, promoter of team building and a solid understanding of sustainable building technology. The opportunity to further build and grow a team for one of the finest energy and technology companies in this industry will be very exciting and rewarding,” Mistretta said.
Mistretta resides in Panama with his wife, Pamela, three daughters and a son. Mistretta also serves on the Panama Central School District Board of Education.
