Curves is downtown and open for workouts. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Thursday with a welcome from local officials.

Debora Swanson, owner, welcomed all and gave a tour of the facility. Lindsey Ulrich, manager and owner’s daughter, helped show people around.

Kathy Gyffreda, member since 2010, said, “This is the way I start my day, every day, except Saturday and Sunday.”

The Jamestown Renaissance Corporation assisted Swanson with her consolidation from two previous Curves locations (Chautauqua Mall and Falconer), to one central location at 420 E. Second St. in Jamestown.

The assistance was provided for a removable floor covering for the exercise space, signage and lease incentive.

Curves is a fitness facility for women only that concentrates on a 30-minute workout.
