Cassadaga Floating Stage Concerts End Sunday CASSADAGA – The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will hold its final concert of the season from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, featuring Smilo and the Ghost on the floating stage at Cassadaga Beach on Park Avenue, Cassadaga. Rater Family Holds 100th Reunion MAYVILLE - On Aug. 3, descendants of Jesse and Lona Rater celebrated 100 years of gatherings with a reunion at the Mayville park. Jesse was born in 1882 and Lona was also. They had a son, Lee and 7 daughters, Gertie, Mabel, Mary, Velma, Bernice, Gladys, and Nora. The reunion was attended by 35 people. Games were played, jokes read, children received gifts and a large delicious tureen dinner was enjoyed by all.
