Bandshell

Concert Is Wednesday

This week’s Allen Park Bandshell concert will be “A Musical Passport” which will be an International themed event. The free concert begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Goranson Band Shell in Allen Park featuring the Jamestown Municipal Band, which includes local musicians with Alicia Laska as conductor. The Allen Park Women’s Club offers treats such as homemade fudge, hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream and penny candies in their concession stand at the top of the hill. Tickets for a chicken barbecue by Basil & Bones on Aug. 14 will be on sale for $16 at the concession stand also. The Aug. 14 dinner will be a drive-through pick-up dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Allen Park Ice Arena.Money raised will be used to benefit Allen Park.

Culture Care Senior Living Hosts Summer Senior Social

Culture Care Senior Living will host its summer senior social on Friday, July 18, from noon to 3 p.m. at the park behind Tanglewood and Memory Garden, 560 Fairmount Ave., Lakewood. More than 30 vendors will be on site, providing information on wellness, senior services, local opportunities, and giveaways. Live music will be provided by Oldfish, featuring Shamus O’Donnell and Lacey Diane. “This is a celebration of life, community, and the incredible seniors we’re honored to serve,” said Zac Hnatyszyn, Vice President of Community Outreach for Culture Care Senior Living. “We’re having fun, making memories, and fulfilling our mission all at the same time — and that’s what it’s all about.” Come enjoy the music, meet new faces, and learn about all the services available to help seniors live life to the fullest.

County Ethics Board To Meet July 22

Meet July 22

Dr. Ken Erickson will be the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots on Tuesday, July 22, at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. “What Makes America Healthy?” will be the subject he addresses covering how we define health and how that plays into care younger and older Americans alike.

Kiantone Church To Host Study On Savoy

Declaration

KIANTONE – A special study on the Savoy Declaration, historic Congregational confessions will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 22 and 23, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Kiantone Congregational Church. The study will be led by Joey Mazzurco and Charles Sisson. On Monday, July 28, Ken Dahlgren will cover Kiantone’s church history, including John Spencer, who planted the church. Tuesday, July 29, the church’s Confession of Faith from 1815 will be studied. Both sessions will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at fellowship hall.
