Sinclairville Library To Host Plant Workshop
SINCLAIRVILLE – The Sinclairville Free Library invites the public to a gardening talk on Monday at 6 p.m. Master Gardener Pam Martonis will speak on the topic of “Gardening with Native Plants.” Participants will learn how to create a landscape that is easier to maintain and helps restore balance to the ecosystem. The program is free and open to the public. The library is located at 15 Main St., Sinclairville. Maple Grove Cemetery Lot Owners To Meet
KIANTONE – The annual meeting for the Kiantone Maple Grove Cemetery will be held Monday, May 20, at 7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall at Kiantone Congregational Church. All lot owners are welcomed to attend. Election of officers will be held. A cemetery cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, at 1 p.m.
Jamestown Planning Commission To Gather May 21
The Jamestown Planning Commission will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the police training room on the fourth floor of City Hall. County IDA Board To Meet
The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency board will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the IDA offices in the BWB Building, second floor board room, 201 W. Third St., Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend. The meeting will also be available via live stream on YouTube and Zoom.

Jamestown Public Schools’ Art Show Is Set For May 21-22
Artwork by students from across Jamestown Public Schools will be on public display during the annual district art show Tuesday, May 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, May 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. The public is encouraged to enter through the gymnasium doors at Jefferson Middle School, at 195 Martin Road. Each Jamestown art teacher selected pieces of student artwork to include in the show, including the 2024 District Art Show poster, which was designed by Kris Cruz, a 12th grade student in Marygrace Anderson’s Computer Art class at Jamestown High School. “The District Art Show is an opportunity for student artists at all grade levels to display their creativity,” said Denise Pusateri, coordinator of STEM. “We encourage the community to come out and support our student artists, who have worked so hard throughout this school year to show off their talents.” Light refreshments will be served during the opening of the show on May 21.
