Tree Pick Up Begins Next Week

The Jamestown Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department will begin its annual pick-up of discarded trees for recycling in the city after the New Year. Weather permitting, the Parks Department will begin pick-up of discarded trees on Jan. 3. The Parks Department is asking Jamestown residents to place discarded trees on the terrace between the sidewalk and the street. In case of a large snowfall, the Parks Department is asking residents to keep the discarded trees visible for pick-up. Discarded trees should be removed from any plastic bags, tree stands and Christmas lights.
