Village Board Meeting Canceled

FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board regular meeting and budget hearing originally scheduled for today has been canceled. The village will reschedule the meeting, via video conference, in late April and will be announced soon.

Historical Society In Search Of Yearbooks

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Historical Society has developed a large collection of Bemus Point and Maple Grove School yearbooks. The books are valuable for people researching genealogical records as well as those simply wanting to relive their school day recollections. The museum’s collection is missing the yearbooks from following years: 1934-1937, 1939, 1941, 1943, 1966, 1976, 1992, 1999, 2001 and 2003. Anyone having yearbooks from those years who would like to contribute the books to the Bemus Point Historical Society can contact Bob Terreberry at 386-2532 or Fletcher Ward at 386-7977. The group is still accepting household goods, other than clothing or electronics, for its summer sale which benefits the society’s scholarship fund. The museum is also accepting donations of historical items relating to the town of Ellery or Bemus Point and their past and present residents, family histories, local photographs, lake artifacts, tools, books, or maps.

St. Susan’s To Change Its Closing Time

St. Susan’s Center will change its closing time from 3:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. starting Monday. The change will remain in effect until further notice. Starting May 3, the center will be closed on Sundays. Bagged lunches will be available on Saturday, which will serve as Sunday’s meal.

Board Of Trustees To Meet Tuesday

Several Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees committees will meet Tuesday. The Buildings and Grounds Committee and Finance and Audit Committee will hold a joint meeting at 2 p.m., the Educational Services Committee will meet at 2:45 p.m., the Human Resources Committee will meet at 3:30 p.m. and the Cattaraugus County Campus Ad Hoc Committee will meet at 4:15 p.m. The meetings will all be held via Zoom webinar technology. Lot Owners Meeting Delayed

The annual meeting of the Ivory Cemetery lot owners has been postponed. Owners are asked to clean the cemetery in preparation for spring mowing no later than Thursday, April 30.
