Shelby Carol Arvidson and Philip Robert Kies exchanged wedding vows on Oct. 10, 2015, in the New Apostolic Church. Pastor Peter Wagner performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Brian Hemry, Brandon Hemry and Billy Kolb.

The bride is the daughter of Tore and Beverly Arvidson of Bemus Point, N.Y., and the granddaughter of Burl and Ruth Blackburn of Hurricane, W.Va., Norma Arvidson of Jamestown, N.Y., and the late Helge Arvidson. Her husband is the son of John Kies of Erie, Pa., and Monika Kies of Groveland, Fla., and the grandson of Ewald and Linda Kies of Huntersville, N.C., Henrietta Neal of Erie, Pa., and the late Melvin “Jim” Neal.

The bride wore a Casablanca bridal ivory trumpet style gown which featured a fitted bodice and a sheer bateau neckline with cap sleeves and a low v tank back.

Kristy Winchester and Katie Conti, sisters of the bride, were matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Carolyn Ortiz, Kori Hughes, Rachel LaPaglia, Amanda Barnes, Sagan Sheffield, Laura Kies, sister-in-law of the bride, and Annika Samuelson, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Svea Winchester, niece of the bride. The flower girl and ring bearer pulled an old fashioned wagon down the aisle which held Logan and Lucas Kies, twin nephews of the groom, and Charlee and Kendall Conti, twin nieces of the bride.

Best man was Frank Pagel. Groomsmen were Michael Kies, brother of groom, Michael Alabran, Michael Blakely, Brandon Schmitt, Kyle Koeth, Tim Durst, Travis Larkin and Aaron Samuelson, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Ben and Brian Kies, brothers of the groom. Ring bearer was Andrew Winchester, nephew of the bride.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Jamestown High School, 2007 graduate of Jamestown Community College with an associate degree in business administration, a 2009 graduate of the State university of Fredonia with a bachelor’s in business administration and marketing, 2012 graduate of Jamestown Community College with an associate degree in applied science and nursing and a 2015 graduate of Daemen College with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa. Her husband is a 2004 graduate of Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy and a 2010 graduate of Mercyhurst College with an associate degree in applied science and nursing. He is employed as a registered nurse at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, N.Y.

They honeymooned in Punta Cana,
