Parkinson’s Education Event To Be Nov. 2 In Jamestown
The Parkinson’s Foundation will host a community event Nov. 2 at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 4, W. Oak Hill Road, Jamestown.
There is no charge to participate and you can register for a spot at Parkinson.org/Jamestown or call Nancy at (585) 743-1266
The program will review early signs, common symptoms, treatments, and strategies for living well. NY Connects and the Chautauqua County Office for Aging caregivers program staff will be on-site to provide information and assistance on Chautauqua County programs and services.
The Parkinson’s organization notes:
¯ More than 10 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s Disease.
¯ The incidence of Parkinson’s disease increases with age, but an estimated four percent of people with PD are diagnosed before age 50.

NY Connects is the place to call to get connected to the help you need. It is the aging and disability resource center. NY Connects assists people of all ages. NY Connects offers information and assistance about local services that you may be eligible for to help you in the community. It is confidential and free and focused on the consumer’s needs and resources available to them.
