My cousin Martha Jean Larson was my best pal when we were children. I always admired Martha's house. It was a welcoming home, one that called you in off the sidewalks to take refuge in it.Martha's house on upper Superior Street - where her mother lived for about 70 years - was a fine bungalow in the Prairie tradition with a big front porch and concrete steps leading up from the brick street.
