River Of The Year
Photographer Steve Warner is pictured with a 2015 River of the Year poster depicting his winter scene of Conewango Creek. After weeks of sorting through many submissions and trying to meet the technical requirements for a poster photo, Warner was awarded the honor of having his winter photo of Conewango Creek chosen for the 2015 River of the Year poster, which was developed by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and the Pennsylvania Organization for Watersheds and Rivers (POWR). This is the first winter picture ever chosen for a River of the Year poster. The Conewango Creek Watershed Association (CCWA) would like to thank everyone who submitted photos and offer congratulations to Warner for having his picture chosen. Posters are available for free at the Warren County Visitors Center, U.S. Forest Service Office, DCNR Office, Warren County Courthouse, Rep Kathy Rapp’s Office and at the CCWA office in North Warren, Pa. Other photos shown on the poster were taken by Troy Onink (“Autumn Leaf on Water”), Kimberly A D’Amore (“Flower on Kayak”), and Amelia Kloecker (“Heron in Flight”).
