Jamestown High School’s Red & Green Basketball Camps will be held Monday, July 6 through Thursday, July 9 at Jefferson Middle School. The Little Ballers Camp for boys and girls entering grades 1-4 will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. each day. The cost is $75 and includes a T-shirt if registered by June 12. CASSADAGA — Brad Kelly recorded his first-ever hole-in-one last Thursday at Cassadaga Country Club. Using his 7-iron, Kelly aced the 172-yard 17th hole. The shot was witnessed by Nick Krupa, Tom McQuiggan and Steve Wintersteen.
ALBION — Nathan Gibson allowed just one hit and struck out 12 over six innings of work as No. 8 Albion beat No. 9 Dunkirk 5-3 in a Section VI Class A2 prequarterfinal baseball game Friday. Elliott Trapiss led the Albion offense with two hits while Gibson, Will Plummer, Viktor Snyder and Kaiden Froman each drove in a run. The Purple Eagles will travel to No. 1 City Honors for a quarterfinal at noon today. Dunkirk’s season ends with a 10-7 record.
