SCOTUS Giving The President Same Power As A King

To The Reader’s Forum: SCOTUS, (Supreme Court of the United States) actually only the Conservative majority, has granted Trump, essentially, unlimited power to do anything (even quasi-legal acts) as president as long as the acts are part of his official duties. Courts, from the District level to Appeals Courts, have ruled against Trump on various issues (ex. migrants, tariffs, firing federal employees, etc.) saying what Trump is doing is “illegal” and/or directly violating the Constitution (ex. “birthright citizenship”). Reader Disagrees With King, Kirk Comparisons

To The Reader’s Forum Randy Elf seems to feel Charles Kirk belongs in the same category as Martin Luther King, Jr. I beg to differ. King fought for civil rights. He was against violence. Mr. Elf praises Kirk for his faith. Kirk is quoted as saying that “stoning gay people is God’s perfect Law.” Didn’t Jesus say, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone?” Maybe I’m misunderstanding Mr. Elf’s position on this. To The Reader’s Forum: Mr. Langworthy and Mr. Borrello failed us all by not urging calm and restraint and by not withholding statements until all the facts were in regarding Charlie Kirk’s shooting death. Instead of waiting for facts and evidence they both immediately leveled politically charged accusations without knowing anything about the shooter or his motives. To The Reader’s Forum: Sitting at the next table at a lunch restaurant here in Jamestown this week, sat a group of 6 young men. These young men were from “out of town” working at a local school doing part of a larger renovation. As a former development director for the County of Chautauqua, it reminded me of an event that I was faced with when I first took over as County Executive for a temporary period years ago.
