Release The Epstein Files

To The Reader’s Forum: There’s a lot of news lately about the “Epstein Files.” The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), no “liberal rag” mind you, reports that Trump’s name is in the “Epstein Files” to which Trump has sued the WSJ. Just having Trump’s name in the files does not mean Trump has done anything illegal, but the WSJ, led by Rupert Murdoch, has chosen not to settle the suit. If the suit goes forward, Trump will have to be deposed and may open a can of worms on himself. (Murdoch also owns Fox News that settled a lawsuit with Dominion Voting Machines for $750 ...

Trump/Langworthy Voters Will Lose Benefits

To The Reader’s Forum: I wrote this letter to Rep. Langworthy. What’s the rush to get the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” passed. Surely, you could take your time to make sure the negative drawbacks of the bill could be ironed out. The obvious, big problems with the bill are 1) that Trump’s bill has an artificial deadline, 2) Senator Lisa Murkowski could have held out for more benefits to Alaska, and that the alleged changes/reductions to health insurance and Medicaid are scheduled to take effect after the midterm election. To The Reader’s Forum: To the recent commentator who admonished a friend to “quit calling voters you don’t agree with childish names” and in the next sentence affirmed his vote for Trump; I ask “are you serious?” There is a Wikipedia page listing all the eighth-grade names Mr. Trump has used over the years. A Better Reparations Model To Consider

To The Reader’s Forum: Re: Cal Thomas, March 15, 16, 2025 column Mr. Thomas’ reaction of the reparations model offered by the Washington, DC city council is understandable. Among the proposals, many flaws, the chief one is that reparations be paid to “individuals”. Such a model is a non-starter because it will never have political or popular support.
