Chautauqua County is declining a request by a Jamestown company for a new access road to replace a failing bridge, stating that the county can’t do the work to benefit a private business. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Neris F. Dejesus Torres, 34, of Jamestown, was charged June 22 with aggravated driving while intoxicated, and DWI per se. According to police, at about 2:21 a.m., officers responded to a report of a property damage accident near Falconer and Buffalo streets. Upon investigation, police said, it was determined that the driver of one of the vehicles, Torres, allegedly was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
