CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — At around 2 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20 in the town of Pomfret. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Samual J. Cettell. Further investigation found Cettell to be operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. Cettell was charged with DWI and no and inadequate plate lamps. He will be in Pomfret court later. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Tre L. Frank, 30, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 8:24 p.m. Thursday after officers responding to an unrelated emergency call found a young child in the middle of Lakeview Avenue with no parents around. According to a police report Frank was in charge of taking care of his 4-year-old child when the child got out of the house and was found walking down the middle of Lakeview Avenue in a diaper and shirt. The child was eventually reunited with family and Frank was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned. - ...

JAMESTOWN POLICE - Carolyn B. Shields, 43, of Jamestown was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI and several traffic citations at 2:36 a.m. April 27 after officers responded to the area of Allen and Scioto streets for a reported car accident. Upon arrival officers reportedly saw a street sign in the road, a damaged telephone pole and tire skid marks leading to a damaged vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — At around 12:16 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and Fredonia Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Route 20 in the village. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Kyla E. Curry, 37, of Dunkirk. Further investigation found Curry to be driving while intoxicated. Curry was charged with DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and no or inadequate lights. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – JAMESTOWN – Joseph A. Mueller, 45, of Falconer has been charged with second-degree criminal solicitation. It is alleged that on Dec. 22 Mueller did request another individual to commit a felony against another person in the city of Jamestown. Mueller turned himself into the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

JAMESTOWN POLICE - Joseph A. Snyder, 40, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday after officers responded to the Dollar General on Winsor Street for a reported shoplifting complaint. After speaking to staff, officers searched the area and found Snyder a few blocks from the store. Snyder allegedly stole $34.45 worth of merchandise from the store. Snyder was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned. - Anthony V.
