CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — GERRY — A town resident is facing animal cruelty charges after Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies found a dead ball python in his residence. On March 19 at about 06:30 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a Route 380 address. After an investigation, it was found that Austin Billick, 23, neglected to care for the reptile, which was found deceased inside its enclosure with no food, water or heat source that is required for a ball python’s survival. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Tiffany A. Haight, 44, of Jamestown, was charged March 22 with felony driving while intoxicated, felony DWI per se, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and several vehicle and traffic violations. According to police, at about 2:04 a.m., officers were on patrol in the area of South Main Street and the Arterial, when they observed a vehicle go through a solid red light, and continued traveling on the wrong side of the road. LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT - Tammy L. Furlow, 53, was charged Saturday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. According to police, at about 1:17 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near Chautauqua Avenue and East Summit Street. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — MAYVILLE — At 3:41 a.m. Saturday, members of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to an address for a report of a past tense physical altercation. After an investigation it was determined that Kevin T Appelbe, 41, of Mayville, did intentionally cause physical injury to another person. During the altercation Appelbe did cause another person to be in fear of their life and did restrict their movements. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Angel G. Ramos-Gonzalez, 26, of Jamestown, was charged Thursday with two counts of aggravated criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment, third-degree assault, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, at about 8:02 a.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute at an Eastside residence. Upon arrival, officers were advised that Ramos-Gonzalez was inside the residence violating an order of protection. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Timothy W. Ellis, 58, of Jamestown was charged March 18 with third-degree burglary, and petit larceny. According to police, at about 11:12 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Allen Street and Foote Avenue for a report of a man that matched the description of a suspect from a burglary complaint that occurred at a Southside business.
