CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — HANOVER — At 8:46 p.m. Saturday, sheriff's deputies responded to an incident. Further investigation found that Matthew R. Thompson, 38, of Hanover, did engage in a physical altercation with another individual. Thompson was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Thompson was transported to county jail for arraignment. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’s OFFICE - Tiffany A Borek, 45, of Angola was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree, as well as petit larceny. Deputies were called to a local business on Tuesday in Hanover. Once officers were dispatched, the suspect had reportedly left the scene. Police were quickly able to arrest Borek, and once he was in custody, investigators found 2.3 grams of methamphetamine in his possession. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE - BEMUS POINT - Jonathan Rivera, 41, of Bemus Point was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. After an investigation was conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Rivera was arrested and taken into custody, where he was charged and released to be back in Chautauqua Town Court later. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division received a report that Tresler allegedly contacted a juvenile victim in violation of a full stay-away order of protection issued against him. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Alexander E. Schultz, 34, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. On 11:30 Friday evening, police responded to an address in the city's northside for a reported assault. Police determined upon arrival that Schultz had allegedly assaulted a victim with a baseball bat.
