Audubon Taking Reservations For Enchanted Forest

The Jamestown Audubon Nature Center will host its Enchanted Forest in October, though reservations will be accepted starting Sept. 12.The Audubon Nature Center's annual Enchanted Forest is a non-scary Halloween event held this year Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8. Evenings begin with stories and songs at a backyard campfire. Then participants will be escorted around a luminary-lit trail by volunteer "fireflies" who light the way with lanterns. A Perfect Frame

I never thought much about it, but my kitchen window makes a perfect frame. As I sat eating breakfast this morning I saw the sun coming up in the east. My window faces east. Pretty soon I noticed some movement. A deer and two fawns meandered through the lawn. By now the fawns are partly grown, but still small. I think because I have a dog the animals take a wide swath around the house.
