Audubon First Sunday Story Time Set For March 1

Admission and stories are both free for adults and children between 2- to 8-years-old attending First Sunday Story Time at the Audubon Community Nature Center on March 1. Doors open at 12:20 p.m. for the 12:30 to 1 p.m. event. The building is fully open at 1 p.m. Those attending can also stay to explore the indoor Nature Play Area, live animals, and exhibits as well as go outside to observe the birds of prey, walk the trails and use the outdoor Nature Play Area. Reservations are requested by Saturday, Feb. 28, by calling the Nature Center at 716-569-2345 or go to AudubonCNC.org/March-First-Sunday. Participation is limited to 15. Walk-ins are welcome if there is room.

Community Music Project Looking For Singers

The CMP Chorale is looking for singers to join the group for a concert on May 16. The CMP Chorale, which includes more than 80 area residents, is one of the largest in Western New York. The CMP Chorale was formed in 2018 with singers from Ashville, Mayville, Stow, Findley Lake, Randolph, Clymer, Portland, Panama, Dunkirk, Frewsburg, Westfield, Fredonia, Ellington, Chautauqua, Warren Pa, Stockton, Sinclairville, Falconer, Jamestown and Lakewood. The May 16 concert will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States by singing selections heard in the 1770s and beyond. The CMP Chorale is open to all without audition or experience. Rehearsals begin on Monday, March 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Southwestern High Choral room. Prendergast Library To Host Tween Tuesday March 3

The James Prendergast Library will host its next Tween Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 3. The program is intended for children ages 10 to 13. There is no cost to attend.
