THIRD QUARTER STUDENTS
Panama Central School has recently announced the Students of the Quarter for both Second and Third quarters.
SECOND QUARTER
The 7th grade student of the quarter for Panama is Marlie Seekings. She is the daughter of Kim Davis of Panama and Henry Seekings of Frewsburg. Marlie is a Merit Roll student. Her favorite subject in school is ELA. She is a member of the band, chorus, art club and will be participating in the spring musical. She plays volleyball and basketball here at PCS. Marlie is also a member of her church’s youth group. She likes listening to SZA and enjoys the TV show Outer Banks.
The 8th grade Student of the quarter for Panama is Matthew Pearson. Matthew is the son of Jeremy and Kelly Pearson of Ashville. He is on the honor roll and is very diligent with his work. Matthew enjoys hunting, fishing, playing soccer and reading. He also enjoys listening to Rock music. Here at PCS, he is involved with the Band and is a member of the Trap Club. His favorite subject is Technology.
PCS has named Levi Munsee as the Student of the Second Quarter for the 9th grade class. Levi is the son of David and Carrie Munsee of Panama. He is very involved in outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, working outside, snowmobiling and four wheeling. He participates in band, is on the basketball team and trap team, and is the treasurer for Student Government, all while being on the Honor Roll. His favorite subject at PCS is Design and Draw. He enjoys listening to Luke Combs music and watching Tulsa King.

SECOND QUARTER STUDENTS
Jessica Lyon has been named the Student of the Second Quarter for the sophomore class at Panama. She is the daughter of Joe and Darcy Lyon of Panama. She is very involved at PCS participating in SADD, Women in Leadership, 5 & 2 Packing and is on the honor roll. Jessica also plays softball with Amherst Lightning outside of school. She is involved in softball, basketball and swimming at PCS. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing sports. Her favorite subject in school is Art. She likes listening to Cooper Alan and watching her favorite TV show, Modern Family.
The Junior Class student of the quarter is Brooke Warner. Brooke is the daughter of Pamela and Thomas Warner of Ashville. She is an Honor Roll student, quiet, polite and very diligent with everything she does. Her interests include playing sports including cross country, basketball and track. Her favorite subject in school is math. She is involved in numerous clubs and activities including NHS, SADD, Women in Leadership, Chorus and Band. Outside of school she enjoys listening to SZA and watching Outer Banks.
Payton Gunnell is the Student of the Second Quarter for the Senior Class. She is the daughter of the late Ryan Gunnell and granddaughter of the late Martha & Bradley Gustafson of Ashville. She enjoys listening to country music, painting, drawing, camping and bowling in her free time. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family and watching her favorite TV show, The Rookie. Payton’s favorite subjects in school are English, Anatomy and Health Class. She is on the honor roll while also participating in Chorus, Independent Art, Yearbook, NHS, SADD and outside of school belongs to the Big Tree Sportsman’s Club.
THIRD QUARTER
The 7th grade student of the third quarter for Panama is Leah Chase. She is the granddaughter of Laurie Short of Panama. Leah is a Merit Roll student and her favorite subject in school is math. She is a member of band and chorus and participated in the musical this year. Outside of school Leah enjoys riding horses, listening to country music and watching the TV show Heartland. She is also involved in 4H showing pigs and horses.
The 8th grade student of the third quarter for Panama is Zadok Hughesman. Zadok is the son of Christopher and Carolyn Hughesman of Panama. He is a polite and positive student who enjoys participating in band and chorus at PCS. Outside of school Zadok enjoys soccer, weightlifting, video games and playing chess. His favorite subject in school is History.
PCS has named Sammy Ryan as the student of the third quarter for the 9th grade class. Sammy is the son of Matt and Wendy Ryan of Ashville. His hobbies include chess, video games, watching the Buffalo Bills and telling dad jokes. He participates in football, basketball and track at PCS and belongs to the chess club all while being on the honor roll. Sammy’s favorite subject is math. He also enjoys listening to Alec Benjamin’s music and likes to watch the Harry Potter movies.
Olive James has been named the student of the third quarter for the sophomore class at Panama. She is the daughter of Jeff & Alexandria James of Panama. Olive participates in band and chorus during school and enjoys listening to music outside of school including her favorite group, Sublime. She is on the PCS swim and track teams and was also in the school musical. She also enjoys spending time reading and watching her favorite show, The Office. Her favorite subject at PCS is Architecture.
The Junior class student of the quarter is Reese Short. Reese is the daughter of Jen and Ryan Short of Panama. She is on the merit roll, is quiet, polite and enjoys learning about others. Her favorite subject is English class, and she is also enrolled in the Small Animal Science program at BOCES. Reese loves nature and listening to Taylor Swift and The Cranberries. When not in school she enjoys watching Steel Magnolias.
Lily Borowski is the student of the third quarter for the Senior class. She is the daughter of Barbara Donaldson of Ashville. Lily is on the honor roll at PCS, participates in the Science Olympiad, Student Government, NHS (vice-president), Chorus and has taken part in many school musicals. Lily is also on the track and field team and the cross-country team. She enjoys painting, singing and gaming. Her favorite subject is Math. When not in school she enjoys listening to her favorite music group, Mother Mother and watching How I Met Your Mother.
