City Residents Charged After Drug Bust

Two Jamestown residents face charges after a drug raid at 278 S. Main St., Jamestown, early Thursday morning.
According to a police report, Thomas A. Kimbrough Sr., 55, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child while Samantha M. Perez, 35, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.
In the early morning hours of Thursday, June 19, narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department and City of Dunkirk Police Department executed a search warrant at 278 S. Main St., Jamestown with Jamestown Police SWAT the first to enter the home. Police found Kimbrough Sr., Perez and four youths in the home as well as 34 grams of cocaine, 1.9 grams of fentanyl, scales and packaging used for the sale and distribution of narcotics and $1,920.
In January, was charged with felony DWAI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and numerous traffic tickets after leading police on a short chase after a traffic incident. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for infractions. The vehicle failed to comply and after a short pursuit, the vehicle stopped and the operator fled into a residence on foot. The operator failed to put the car in park and it rolled into the front of the police car causing minor damage. After a short time, the operator came out of the house and was identified as Kimbrough. He was taken into custody and transported to the City Jail where a quantity of Fentanyl was located.
In August, Kimbrough was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after officers responded to an east side home for a reported drug overdose. While checking on the well-being of a child in another room, officers found the 3-year-old with a shotgun nearby. The gun was “loaded and within reach of the child,” Jamestown police said in a news release.
