Collaborative Children’s Solutions is set to host its annual prom dress giveaway during April.

Patrick Smeraldo, the founder and proprietor of Collaborative Children’s Solutions, explained that the prom dress giveaway runs during the month of April and is a collaborative effort between Southern Chautauqua Credit Union, The Northwest Ice Arena, Arise Chautauqua, Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union, the U.S. Army National Guard -Jamestown, JRSC Digital, Wegmans, Ed Shults Chevrolet, Media One Radio, Live CHQ, Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame, CCS TV and Dot’s Gift Boutique

“This year will be our third year hosting this event,” said Smeraldo. “We pick up the dresses from our partner drop-off locations, we get the dresses cleaned, and we make sure they’re ready to go for the girls who need or want them.”

According to a post on the Arise Chautauqua Facebook page, the dresses will be distributed on April 5, 12, 26, and May 3 from 10 to 2 p.m. at 105 W. Third St., next to the Dots store. .

“We’re in contact with most of the school guidance counselors and we’re hoping to give away close to 100 dresses this year,” said Smeraldo. “We also have various accessories, such as jewelry, purses and shoes for the girls to choose from.”

Additionally, Smeraldo said that the organization has several ‘short, cocktail-style dresses, that they will give away later for dances like homecoming and other events.

“All are welcome,” said Smeraldo. “Come and get a dress and anything else you need to make it a special night.”
