Meth, Fentanyl Finds Lead To Charges For Celoron Man

A search warrant that took place Friday morning in Celoron has led to charges for a 30-year-old village resident whose residence included methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force officials report they entered 19 E. Duquesne St. with assistance from the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team. Darin L. Butts Jr. and one juvenile were located inside of the residence around 9:20 a.m.

After the residence was secured, detectives searched the property and located 217.8 grams of methamphetamine, 47.4 grams of fentanyl, $90 in Currency, scales for weighing the drugs, and packaging materials used for distributing the drugs.

Butts was charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Butts was being held pending arraignment in Mayville. He is currently out on bail on Federal Probation for previous drug trafficking related charges.

The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Town of Ellicott Police Department and Jamestown Fire Department.
