Bruce G. Nordwall

Bruce G. Nordwall, 84, of 156 McDaniel Ave., died Friday December 22, 2023, in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie.

He was born Oct. 28, 1939, in Minneapolis, MN, a son of the late George and Gladys Johnston Nordwall.

He was a high school graduate of Minnehaha Academy and attended North Park College.

Prior to his retirement he was employed by The Guardian working in insurance, investments, and estate planning.

He grew up in First Covenant Church, Minneapolis and after moving to Jamestown became a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, trustee, and Sunday school teacher.

Surviving is his wife Nancy Lindberg Nordwall, whom he married June 30, 1962; three children Sherryn (Anthony) Pingatore of Mansfield, OH, Robert (Joanne Hallmark) Nordwall of South Dayton, NY and Douglas (Tammy) Nordwall of Jamestown; six grandchildren Rachel Pingatore West, Sara Fielder, Anthony Pingatore, Ian Pingatore, Abigail Nordwall and Greta Nordwall; ten great grandchildren; a brother John (Gwen) Nordwall and a sister Joyce Ulstead both of Minneapolis.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
