Republican candidate Phil Landy has defeated Democrat incumbent Billy Torres for the County Legislature’s seat on District 9 while former county legislator and county attorney Fred Larson has won his bid to return to the legislature in District 12, ousting incumbent Elisabeth Rankin.

In District 13, incumbent Democrat Tom Nelson has defeated Joseph Tickle while incumbent Republican Lisa Vanstrom has defeated Democratic Party challenger Kurt Gustafson for the District 15 seat.

District 16 residents will have a new legislator after former legislator John Davis retired from the seat. Republican Dalton Anthony, a current Carroll Town Board member, has defeated Amy Thompson, the endorsed Democrat, by a 71.8% to 26.28% margin. In District 19, Republican Fred Johnson has defeated newcomer Braiden McElhaney, 1,079 to 441.
