Patrick L. “Pat” Harvey

Patrick L. “Pat” Harvey, 79, of Frewsburg, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, in Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing Facility, Dennis Wilder.

He attended Frewsburg Central School.

Pat was employed at the former Proto Tool until their closing and then was employed at the Frewsburg Rest Home for 27 years. He was also an animal control officer for the Town of Carroll for 34 years.

Pat was a member of the Frewsburg Lions Club. Being an avid sportsman, he was a life member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Carroll Rod & Gun Club where he was a hunter safety instructor for many years.

Pat and his late wife, Sandra, volunteered at the I-86 rest stop where he would dress up as Santa Claus for the holidays. He was a roller skating instructor for the Special Olympics at the former Evans Skateland.

Pat is survived by his two grandsons: Erik L. Harvey and Jacky Lee Harvey, Sr.; his great-grandson, Jacky Lee Harvey, Jr.; his sister-in-law, Janice Thompson; his goddaughter, Lucinda Dulmus, and his godson, Roger Dulmus Jr.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra G. Walker Harvey, who passed away on August 20, 2019, and his son Rob Harvey, who passed away on August 4, 2002.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, December 4, 2022 in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Pastor Ronald Lemon of Koinonia Christian Fellowship will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery Annex, Frewsburg.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 pm on Sunday in the funeral home.
