Historical Society Fist Meeting Of 2022 Today At
7 p.m.
SINCLAIRVILLE — The Valley Historical Society will hold its first meeting of 2022 today at the Sinclairville Fire Hall. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. and attendees will be making maple cream. There will also be a short history on maple syrup. Everyone is asked to bring a small bowl and a spoon to stir the maple syrup into maple cream. Anyone interested in local history is invited to attend.

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Village Board will hold its organizational meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the village office, 8 Lester St., Sinclairville. The public is welcome to attend.

Rod And Gun Auxiliary Board Meet On Thurs. April 7
LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Rod and Gun Auxiliary Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in the board room. On Tuesday, April 12, the board will have its pot luck dinner in the dining room. Past presidents will be honored and those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass. The meal will have a Mexican theme. Greeters will be Carole Johnson and Mary Henning. Helpers are Dottie Enlow and Connie Whitman. The program is the Jim Steffan trio. The board is also collecting items for St. Susan Center. Scholarship applications are available for current auxiliary members, their child or grandchild. Applications can be obtained by calling Arline Hazenberg at 716-488-0553. All must be returned by May 1.

Average Gas Prices Down
The average price for a gallon of gas in Jamestown was 11 cents lower this week at $4.285, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report. The average price during the week of March 28 was $4.398 while the price during the week of April 5, 2021, was $2.895. The national average for a gallon of gas was $4.18, which was six cents less than a week ago, 35 cents more than a month ago, and $1.31 more than a year ago. Gasoline prices have been decreasing across the country as crude oil prices have been on the decline for the past several days.
