At the recent Southwestern High School Awards assembly, the Southwestern Schools Education Foundation presented Sofia Genareo and Kayla Allen with the foundation’s Spirit Award.

The spirit award considers students who have demonstrated a positive and constructive attitude while at Southwestern. It is not based on scholarship or athletics, rather a students willingness to help other students, faculty, and being a good role model. The goal of recipients is to leave a situation better than the way they found it.
