No new information has been released a day after Jamestown police said it was investigating a “suspicious death.”

The body of a woman was found inside a home around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday at 118 Price St. after emergency crews were first requested for a person with an unknown medical problem.

Police blocked both ends of the road, between Lakeview and Prendergast avenues, for several hours. Members of the Chautauqua County Forensic Investigation Team arrived on scene in the early evening and remained there for several hours.

JPD said it was being assisted by the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office.
