Fentanyl, Meth Recovered From City Home Friday

Investigators seized fentanyl and methamphetamine at the home of a Jamestown man on parole.
Louis A. Rivera, 64, was taken into custody following a search Friday around 8:30 a.m. at 510 W. Sixth S. The search included members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit.
Inside, officers located 9 grams of fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid, as well as 4.7 grams of methamphetamine and drug packaging materials.
Rivera is facing three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia. The city man was also being held on a parole violation warrant.
