Barbara Jean “Barb” Campbell
LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y.–Barbara Jean “Barb” Campbell, 88, of Little Valley, N.Y. passed away Sunday Dec. 13, 2020 at her home.
She was born July 16, 1932 in Cattaraugus, N.Y. the daughter of the late Ralph and Florence (Rogers) Smith.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her loving husband of 67 years William Campbell.
She and her husband owned and operated Sun-Ray Farm in the Town of Napoli for 60 years. She also had been a Waitress at the Rock City Hotel in Little Valley, N.Y.
Mrs. Campbell had at-tended Pamona College in California, was a member of the Little Valley and the Napoli United Methodist Churches, Past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Member of Farm Bureau and Dairy Lee. She enjoyed travelling, family gatherings, animals, shop-ping and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son Matthew Campbell of Little Valley and 5 daughters Amy Sykes of Little Valley, N.Y. , Lori (Ken) Dechow of Randolph, N.Y., Cathy (Charlie) Lazarowitz, Chrissy (Matt) Minnekine, Denise (Paul) Lecceardone and a daughter in law Glen-da Campbell all of Little Valley, N.Y. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She also was a Foster Parent through Catt. Co. Child Services and the Randolph Children’s Home for 50 years helping to raise over 60 foster children.
She was predeceased by two sons Raymond Camp-bell and David Campbell, two brothers Dean Smith and Gerald Smith, a twin sister Betsy Meyers and a sister Sylvia Cassata.
Private family services will be held at this time with a public Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date.
Burial will be in Little Valley Rural Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Napoli United Methodist Church, Homecare and Hospice, ASPCA or Alzheimers Assoc.
