Amateur Radio Service Donates To Library

From left are Laura Mueller, Chautauqua Amateur Radio Service secretary; Tina Scott, James Prendergast Library director Tina Scott; Dan Trippy, CARS president, and Larry Dipzinski, CARS vice president.

The Chautauqua Amateur Radio Service showed their appreciation to the James Prendergast Library recently by presenting library director Tina Scott with a $400 check.

The club meets at the Prendergast Library every month, and like all non-profit groups, the club does not pay a fee to use the library’s meeting rooms. After hearing about the library’s financial struggles, the club decided to make a donation to show their support and appreciation for the space.

The Prendergast Library is located at 509 Cherry St, Jamestown. For more information, visit the library’s Facebook page or prendergastlibrary.org.
