Pitts qualifies for states in diving

ELMA — Frewsburg/Falconer’s Anelia Pitts joined two other Section VI divers Saturday to qualify for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships. Pitts, a Frewsburg junior, accumulated an 11-dive score of 442.0 to finish third at the Iroquois Diving Invitational. The standard for 11 dives to qualify for the state meet is 440.0. Williamsville North junior Sophie Kusmierski won the invitational with an 11-dive score of 470.95 while Iroquois freshman Shea Jacobs finished second with a score of 458.10.
