BARKER -- Barker/Royalton-Hartland, Class C North's No. 1 seed, ran 52 times for 253 yards and beat Clymer/Sherman/Panama 24-20 in a Section VI Class C semifinal Friday.

The Bulls led 16-0 in the second quarter and 24-8 in the third quarter before the Wolfpack staged a comeback.

First, Gavin Burchanowski threw a 69-yard touchdown pass to Hayden Sexton with 46 seconds remaining in the third quarter. Then, with 1:53 left in the game, Bryan Gomez threw a 72-yard touchdown pass to Burchanowski that made it a four-point game. But Barker/Royalton-Hartland was able to recover an onside kick and run out the clock.

Carter Dersarkissian, Section VI's leading rusher, ran 40 times for 239 yards and all three of the Bulls' touchdowns.

Clymer/Sherman/Panama ran 18 times for 58 yards while throwing for 214 yards, but 141 of those came on their two big plays late.

The Bulls will take on Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton, Class C South's No. 3 seed, in the sectional title game next Friday at 2 p.m. at the University at Buffalo's Broadview Stadium.
