Eckwahl honored before Frewsburg win

FREWSBURG -- Frewsburg scored five goals in the first half and four more in the second half to beat Chautauqua Lake 9-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls soccer Thursday.

Audrey Eckwahl, who was honored prior to the game for becoming the Bears' all-time leader in goals and points, had four goals and three assists to take her career totals to 106 and 43.

Eckwahl opened the scoring in the 15th minute from Ava Krofka before Jaden Jimerson made it 2-0 from Eckwahl in the 18th minute. In the 32nd minute, Jimerson scored again from Eckwahl, in the 35th minute Addison O'Connor tallied from Eckwahl and Jimerson closed the first-half scoring in the 38th minute from Sebryna Rivera.

After the break, Charlie Lombardo scored from Rozlyn Haglund in the ninth minute, Eckwahl scored unassisted in the 23rd and 34th minutes, and Eckwahl scored from Jimerson in the 35th minute.

Joey Vaughn and Leah Pasieka split five saves in net en route to the clean sheet.

Frewsburg (11-3-0, 9-0-0) seniors honored prior to the game included: Calynn Sigular, Krofka, Eckwahl, Jadyn Trocki and Rivera.

The Eagles fell to 4-7-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the league.

COOK, ELDRIDGE CONNECT ON WINNER

SILVER CREEK -- Abby Cook's goal from Malayah Eldridge in the second half was good enough to send Silver Creek/Forestville past North Collins 2-1 in Division 3 action.

Lilly Fox opened the scoring for the Black Knights (9-4-0, 6-3-0), while Kendall Strychalski made four saves in net.

The Eagles fell to 6-5-2 overall and 4-4-0 in the league.

WESTFIELD/BROCTON'S EMERY SCORES TWICE

DUNKIRK -- Addison Emery scored twice to send Westfield/Brocton past Dunkirk 2-0 in Division 3 action at Karl Hoeppner Field.

Katrina Landon had an assist while Kylie Post made eight saves en route to the clean sheet for the Wolverines (5-6-1, 4-4-1).

The Marauders fell to 1-11-0 overall and 0-8-0 in the league.

GATORS CLINCH AT LEAST SHARE OF TITLE

FALCONER -- Allegany-Limestone/Hinsdale wrapped up at least a share of the Division 1 title with a 3-1 victory over Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove.

Kennedy Honeck, Kai Wojewoda-Ko and Leea Kopp each scored a goal for the Gators (13-1-0, 10-0-0) while Honeck had two assists and Peyton Truman had one. Kenna MacArthur made four saves in net.

Kylie Kress scored from Emilee Chapman and Ellyson Baglia made seven saves for the Golden Cougars (9-2-1, 6-2-1).

PORTVILLE GETS BY TROJANS

PORTVILLE -- Grace Gariepy provided a goal and an assist in the second half to lead Portville past Southwestern 2-0 in Division 1.

Airiana Whittaker opened the scoring on a pass from Gariepy in the 58th minute and Kaylin Elliott made five saves for the Panthers (6-5-1, 5-4-1).

T'WOLVES ROLL PINE VALLEY/GOWANDA

SOUTH DAYTON -- Three different girls scored as Cattaraugus-Little Valley defeated Pine Valley/Gowanda 3-0 in Division 2.

Lucilyn Conklin, Gracie Huber and Anna Dorn scored once each for the Timberwolves, while Emily Schmidt had an assist. Conklin and Jaelyn Snyder split time in net to maintain the clean sheet for Cattaraugus-Little Valley (4-9-1, 4-5-0).

Pine Valley/Gowanda fell to 0-7-0 overall and 0-5-0 in league.

ELLICOTTVILLE SLIPS BY PANTHERS

FRANKLINVILLE -- Ellicottville's first-half goal held up as the winner as the Eagles beat Franklinville 1-0 in Division 2 action.

The Eagles improved to 6-5-1 overall and 4-3-0 in the league.

Taylor Chase made 12 saves for the Panthers (2-11-0, 1-8-0).

FREEMAN-LED CARDINALS PREVAIL

RANDOLPH -- Eighth-grader Elsie Freeman had two goals and an assist to lead Randolph past Salamanca 6-2 in Division 2 play.

Ella Monroe added a goal and an assist; Delaney Walters, Serena Smith and Jade McMaster each scored a goal; and Peyton Roberts had an assist for the Cardinals (9-3-0, 8-0-0). Stella Smith made three saves in net.

The Warriors fell to 9-2-0 overall and 6-1-0 in the league.
