Scott Johhnson, left, presents a check for $1,200 to Tim Karches, executive director of the First Tee of Western New York. Johnson is the author of the book "Hey, Boomer: Golf, Really?" The book chronicles Johnson's 60-year journey as a golf nut and contains countless stories about the characters who have shaped the game locally over that time. Johnson has pledged that all profits from the sale of his book will be donated to support the work of the First Tee of Western NY, a youth development organization shaping the lives of thousands of young people. Summer and fall First Tee programs were hosted by Moon Brook Country Club this year.
