AKRON -- Robert Calph continued his late-season dominance of the Wednesday Travel League, winning this week’s event at The Links at Ivy Ridge.

Calph shot a 77 for his fourth straight victory and has now won six of the past seven events. Calph edged Josh Hilliker (78) by one stroke and Dave Wallace (79) by two strokes. Playing in the same foursome, Calph and Hilliker had several lead changes between them and combined for seven birdies. After starting on the back nine, the two were tied after 16 holes. Calph then birdied the par-3 eighth hole and Hilliker bogeyed, essentially sealing the victory for Calph.

Calph and Jeff Nelson led the front nine with 38s. Calph, Hilliker and Wallace tied for the low back nine with 39s. Jeff Marsowicz and John Waterman won the B and C Flights, respectively. The low round by a senior was an 81 by John Bongiovanni Jr., the lowest round by a senior this year. The winner of the Bruce "Java" Chrabasz Commissioner's Award was Jim Ellman Sr.
