Westfield/Brocton edges Dunkirk at NorthLake

WESTFIELD -- Seventh-grader Natalia Johnson scored her first career goal in the 38th minute from another seventh-grader, Luz Luna Lopez, as Westfield/Brocton beat Dunkirk 1-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls soccer Tuesday at the NorthLake Family Recreation Complex.

Sophomore Kylie Post made eight saves en route to the clean sheet for the Wolverines (2-3-1, 2-1-1).

Senior Celeste Batista made 16 saves for the Marauders (0-7-0, 0-4-0).

ECKWAHL NETS HAT TRICK

MAYVILLE -- Senior Audrey Eckwahl scored a pair of first-half goals on her way to a hat trick as Frewsburg topped Chautauqua Lake 5-0 in Division 3 play.

Edkwahl scored in the second minute from junior Ellie Cappa and added another goal in the 31st minute before completing her hat trick from Cappa in the 46th minute for the Bears (6-2-0, 4-0-0). Junior Jaden Jimerson added a goal from sophomore Charlie Lombardo and sophomore Grace Shelters scored from sophomore Kynzie Nichols.

Freshman Leah Pasieka made two saves on her way to the clean sheet.

The Eagles fell to 2-4-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the league.

GONZALEZ NETS LONE GOAL

NORTH COLLINS -- Junior Claire Gonzalez scored from sophomore Malayah Eldridge in the first half as Silver Creek/Forestville beat North Collins 1-0 in Division 3 action.

Eliza Mahaney made four saves en route to the clean sheet for the Black Knights (6-1-0, 3-1-0).

The Eagles fell to 3-4-1 overall and 1-3-0 in the league.

PORTVILLE TRIMS RED & GREEN

JAMESTOWN -- Sophomore Anna Faulkner and junior Ariana Whittaker scored after halftime as Portville pulled away from Jamestown for a 3-1 Division 1 win at Strider Field.

Senior Grace Gariepy scored in the 20th minute, Faulkner scored from Gariepy in the 50th minute and Whittaker scored in the 60th minute for the Panthers (4-3-0, 3-2-0).

Junior Kaylin Elliott and sophomore Hudson Forness-Thomas the clean sheet for Portville.

Junior Sophia Napolilo scored from sophomore Kinsley Berg for the Red & Green (2-6-0, 1-5-0).

Junior JaLeiya Glover made seven saves in net for Jamestown.

ROGERS TALLIES TWICE FOR TROJANS

WEST ELLICOTT -- Senior Kenzie Rogers scored twice to send Southwestern past Olean 4-0 in Division 1 action at Charles A. Lawson Field.

Rogers scored from senior Marlana Cresanti in the 10th minute and then added another goal in the 28th minute for the Trojans (4-3-0, 3-2-0). Senior Makenna Johnson added a goal from Cresanti in the 57th minute and senior Mikaela Luce scored from Cresanti in the 58th minute.

Sophomore Braelynn Dykstra was credited with the clean sheet for Southwestern.

Senior Alaina Hirliman made 25 saves for the Huskies (2-5-0, 0-5-0).

EAGLES BLANK FRANKLINVILLE

ELLICOTTVILLE -- A pair of second-half goals sent Ellicottville to a 2-0 victory over Franklinville in Division 2.

Freshman Ally Andrews and junior Juleana Lyon each scored a goal while senior Eliza Murray had an assist for the Eagles (5-2-0, 3-1-0).

Senior Ady Andrews made three saves en route to the clean sheet.

Senior Taylor Chase made five saves in 58 minutes and junior Mya Sullivan made four saves in 22 minutes for the Panthers (1-6-0, 0-4-0).

CARDINALS SHUT OUT SALAMANCA

SALAMANCA -- A pair of first-half goals held up for Randolph in a 2-0 shutout of Salamanca in Division 2.

Freshman Serena Smith scored from junior Jade Miller and sophomore Ava Sears scored from Smith for the Cardinals (5-3-0, 4-0-0).

Senior Stella Smith made five saves in the clean sheet for Randolph.

The Warriors fell to 4-2-0 overall and 3-1-0 in the league.
