Tonelli in on six goals for Fredonia

MAYVILLE -- Cecelia Tonelli had herself quite a Saturday in Fredonia's 7-1 nonleague girls soccer victory over Chautauqua Lake in a nonleague game.

A junior forward, Tonelli scored three goals and added three assists to help the Hillbillies improve to 6-3-0.

Collecting a goal and an assist were Nora Polhamus and Sophia Hunt, while Pia Derreumaux and Mady Polhamus both chipped in a goal for Fredonia, which led 5-1 at halftime.

Naomi Muck made three saves for the winners.

The Eagles fell to 2-6-1.

CRESANTI NETS WINNER LATE

WEST ELLICOTT -- Marlana Cresanti scored from Kenzie Rogers with 7:45 remaining in the game as Southwestern topped Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove 1-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 play.

Braelynn Dykstra made eight saves en route to the clean sheet for the Trojans (5-4-0, 4-3-0).

Ellyson Baglia made seven saves for the Golden Cougars (7-2-0, 5-2-0).

JAMESTOWN FALLS

WEST SENECA -- First-half goals by Ella Wackowski and Deanna Coe were enough to send West Seneca to a 2-0 victory over Jamestown in a nonleague game.

Teagan Paluch added a pair of assists in support of Riley Kawalec and Izzy Leydecker, who combined for six saves.

West Seneca improved to 2-3-3. The Red & Green dropped to 2-7-0.
