HINSDALE -- Sophomore Josh Swan threw three touchdowns in his first career start to lead Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton (1-1, 1-0) past Allegany-Limestone/Hinsdale (1-1, 0-1) 35-12 in Class C South football Friday.
Swan finished 8 of 15 for 135 yards and the three scores to go along with an interception. Aiden Woodis caught four passes for 67 yards and a score while Ian Kindermann had three catches for 62 yards and two scores.
The Eagles (1-1, 1-0) took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter on a 1-yard run by Thandon Bensink and a 36-yard pass from Swan to Woodis.
Tayden Margeson answered with a pair of passing touchdowns for the Gators (1-1, 0-1), the first for 77 yards to Greg Peck and the second for 25 yards to Ryan Callen.
But Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton scored the final 21 points.
Kindermann caught touchdown passes of 8 and 28 yards from Swan in the second quarter before Tristen Gibbs ran for a 1-yard score in the fourth quarter.
Gibbs led the Eagles with 19 carries for 114 yards on the ground.
Defensively, Lance Franklin had 11 tackles, including three for a loss, and a sack; Trent Ramm had nine tackles, including two for a loss; Gibbs had eight tackles; and Chase Houser, Bensink and Lane Scarpine (sack) each had seven tackles. Kindermann intercepted a pass while Woodis and Jacob Walker each recovered a fumble.

GOWANDA -- Portville/Cuba-Rushford/Bolivar-Richburg rallied from a 12-0 halftime deficit without its starting quarterback to beat Gowanda/Pine Valley 16-12 in nonleague football Friday.
Hayden Schappacher led the guests with 14 carries for 56 yards and both of their second-half touchdowns, the go-ahead score coming late in the third quarter.
Gowanda/Pine Valley opened the scoring when Jayden Fish threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Reginald Irion in the first quarter. The lead grew to 12-0 in the second quarter on Zane Rogers' 5-yard touchdown run.
Rogers finished with 13 carries for 65 yards while Fish went 9 of 16 for 139 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Irion caught two passes for 66 yards and Drew Reid caught two for 53 yards.
Schappacher made it 12-8 with a 25-yard score early in the third quarter and capped the scoring with a 3-yard touchdown run.

RANDOLPH BLANKS NEWFANE
NEWFANE -- Alexander Garland ran 24 times for 177 yards and two touchdowns to lead Randolph to a 34-0 shutout of Newfane in Class D action.
The Cardinals (2-0, 1-0) opened the scoring in the first quarter when Davion Johnson found Carter Conley for a 45-yard touchdown reception. Later in the quarter, Garland ran for a 16-yard touchdown and Isaac Pihlblad added the point-after kick to make it 13-0.
Johnson scored on a 26-yard run in the second quarter and Pihlblad's PAT made it 20-0 heading into halftime.
After the break, Garland ran for a 15-yard score and Cole Morris ran for a 1-yard touchdown.
Johnson finished 6 of 6 for 90 yards through the air with Conley catching two passes for 55 yards and Syrai Johnson catching three for 28 yards. Davion Johnson added 74 yards on the ground.
Randolph held Newfane to 122 yards of offense, including just 63 on the ground.
The Cardinals will head to nonleague St. Mary's next Saturday afternoon while Newfane will host Silver Creek/Forestville on Friday night.
