Salamanca rallies for boys soccer victory

SALAMANCA -- Taylor Hayes scored with 10 seconds left against Frewsburg to bring the score level and force overtime. He later scored in overtime to finish the comeback and the Warriors defeated the Bears 2-1 in nonleague boys soccer action on Saturday.

Calum Farnum assisted the winning goal for the Warriors (2-0-0) in the 90th minute.

Lucas Randolph scored the lone goal for Frewsburg (0-2-0) with an assist from Peter Pasieka in the 36th minute.

CARDS TRIM TROJANS

WEST ELLICOTT -- Camden Peters scored the lone goal as Randolph edged Southwestern 1-0 in nonleague action.

Isaac Pihlblad assisted the goal in the 51st minute, while Randy Nottingham made five saves to keep the clean sheet for Randolph (2-2-0).

Cooper Charles made six saves for Southwestern (2-2-0) which dropped its second straight contest and will look to bounce back today at Allegany-Limestone.

EAGLES GET BY HILLBILLIES

FREDONIA -- Travis Horvath's goal in the 76th minute was all Chautauqua Lake needed to get by Fredonia 1-0 in nonleague action.

Hawkins assisted the goal, while Landon Emery made eight saves to the Chautauqua Lake (1-2-0) clean sheet.

Fredonia (0-1-1) is still in search of its first win and will get a chance against rival Dunkirk tonight at 7.
