Describing her 2026 IPL Olympia Pro Powerlifting Championships performance as "pretty awesome," Dunkirk resident Kristi Mets left the Las Vegas Convention Center over the weekend with plenty to celebrate, including setting four state records, four world records and one national record. In addition, she established personal bests in the squat, bench and full-power total. Her effort in the "raw bench" earned her "best lifter" in the Master Women's Division. "A little bit of rest then on to the Worlds prep," Mets wrote on Instagram. "Huge thank you to everyone that watched at home and for all your messages and posts."
