ALLEGANY -- Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to beat Portville 3-1 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls soccer action played at Allegany-Limestone High School.
Grace Gariepy scored less than four minutes into the game for the Panthers (0-1-0, 0-1-0).
The Golden Cougars' Kylie Kress scored in the 44th minute unassisted and Sydnee Snow scored in the 57th minute unassisted to make it 2-1. Then, in the 74th minute, Lily McPherson's corner kick rattled around inside the Portville 18-yard box before Emilee Chapman punched it home for a 3-1 lead.
Ellyson Baglia made six saves in net for Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove (2-0-0, 1-0-0).
HONECK'S HAT TRICK LIFTS GATORS
ALLEGANY -- Kennedy Honeck scored a second-half hat trick as Allegany-Limestone/Hinsdale beat Jamestown 4-0 in Division 1 play.
Molly John opened the scoring from Honeck in the first half for the Gators (2-1-0, 2-0-0).
After the break, Honeck scored from Leea Kopp, then scored unassisted before completing her hat trick from Cara Giannicchi.
Kenna MacArthur and Meagan Morgan split five saves in net for Allegany-Limestone/Hinsdale.
The Red & Green fell to 0-2-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the league.
BLACK KNIGHTS ROLL
SOUTH DAYTON -- Abby Cook scored two goals and added an assist to lead Silver Creek/Forestville past Pine Valley/Gowanda 10-0 in nonleague action.
Eliza Mahaney added two goals; Emily Bain and Malayah Eldridge had a goal and an assist apiece; Ashlin Helman, Alexis Wicks and Allison Hughes each had a goal; and Claire Gonzalez, Amelia Sternisha and Lilly Fox each had an assist for the Black Knights (3-0-0). Mahaney and Fox each made a save in the clean sheet.
The Panthers fell to 0-2-0 overall.
BEARS PULL AWEAY
FREWSBURG -- Frewsburg broke a 0-0 halftime deadlock with three second-half goals to beat Westfield/Brocton 3-0 in Division 3 play.
Jaden Jimerson scored in the 44th and 46th minutes from Audrey Eckwahl before Eckwahl scored from Charlie Lombardo in the 70th minute for the Bears (3-1-0, 1-0-0).
Leah Pasieka made two saves to earn the clean sheet.
Kylie Post made 16 saves for the Wolverines (0-1-0, 0-1-0).
