The 14U Lakewood Gladiators recently won the Western New York Premier League's Roy Hobbs Division. Pictured, in front, from left, are: Colin Devlieger, Theron Crawford and Austin Evans. In back are: Coach Chad Devlieger, Coach Avery Olson, Landon Ko, Andrew Cama, Alexander Olson, Owen Walburg, Connor Devlieger, Blake Hill, Jerry Gassman, Mason Hastings, Coach Jim Cama and Coach Bob Walburg. The Gladiators defeated North Buffalo 6-5 in the championship game after defeating the Oakfield Spartans 6-5 in the semifinals. In the win versus North Buffalo, Walburg had two doubles and an RBI, Crawford had a double and an RBI, Evans had an RBI single, Olson and Gassman each had a single, and Colin Devlieger and Mason Hastings each added an RBI. Cama, Evans and Connor Devlieger pitched for the Gladiators, combining for six strikeouts. In the win versus Oakfield, Walburg had two doubles, a single and two RBIs, Colin Devlieger had a double and an RBI, Crawford had a double, and Olson added an RBI. Cama and Connor Devlieger pitched, combining for 11 strikeouts.
