WEST ELLICOTT -- Londyn Wilmot hammered 24 kills, six aces, two blocks and made 14 digs to lead Fredonia past Southwestern 25-20, 26-28, 25-23, 25-21 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 volleyball action on Tuesday.
Maddie Krakowiak added 15 kills, 12 digs and an ace for the Hillbillies (6-3, 6-1), Alyse Bugaj dealt 41 assists and made seven digs, Sophia Pagan had seven digs and Sophia Burrows pitched in three aces.
Southwestern (5-6, 2-5) was led by Madelyn Burnett with 17 kills, three aces and a block, Caroline Churchill made 10 digs, two blocks and six assists, Gianna Sirianni had four aces, eight kills and five digs, Elise Kartesz made 20 assists and five digs, Claire Kautzman had six digs and Anna Conley added five digs.
ELLICOTTVILLE RALLIES PAST WARRIORS
SALAMANCA -- Ellicottville rallied with three straight wins to defeat Salamanca 23-25, 18-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-12 in Division 2 action.
Riley Whitmer led the Eagles (6-6, 3-4) with 11 kills, two assists, two aces and 20 digs, Karle Northrup added another 11 kills and eight digs, Shiloh Miller made 26 assists, three aces, nine digs and six kills, Marlee Maynard made 23 digs and Rose Benjamin added 14 more digs.
Ayla Newark had 13 kills for Salamanca (5-4, 3-4), Jaelynn Cooper had five aces and 10 digs, Joey Jimerson made 12 assists and CC Chamas added 11 assists.
CARDINALS SWEEP WEST VALLEY/FRANKLINVILLE
RANDOLPH -- Aliza Hind had 12 kills and two aces to lead Randolph past West Valley/Franklinville 25-8, 25-12, 25-9 in Division 2 action.
Tessa Brown had 18 assists, two kills and an ace; Hailey Farmer had five kills; and Maria Stone had four aces for the Cardinals (6-4, 4-3).
The Wildcats fell to 0-6 overall and in the league.
RED & GREEN DOWN FALCONER
JAMESTOWN -- Aiyanna Stam collected 14 kills, Remy Anderson had 11 and Chloe Roberts added 10 as Jamestown defeated Falconer in a Division 1 match.
Maylin Cuifolo chipped in 37 assists to help the Red & Green improve to 4-3 overall and 3-3 in the division.
For the Golden Falcons (1-9, 1-6), Reagan Trask had 14 assists, Kaylee Green contributed five kills and five digs, and Maddie Widen added four kills and five digs.
