Cummins, Artone sit atop Y Battle leaderboard

Chautauqua County Government won the Battle of the Businesses Large Division volleyball tournament at the Jamestown YMCA while Children's Education Services/Rehabilitation Specialists took home the victory in the Small Division stones event at Brewers Hollow on Tuesday evening.
In a new event (Mulligan's Challenge) at Mulligan's Golf & Fun Center, the Large Division winner was Chautauqua County Government while Trinity Biotech/Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union was victorious for the Small Division.
The CCG volleyball team consisted of Amy Hitchcock, Sydney Moats, Sean Shea, Kayleigh Sieber, Lauren Manwaring, Trevor North, Eric Sweeney and Alex Garey.
The squad finished the night by beating Frewsburg Central School in a 21-15 final game. Cummins finished in third place.
In the stones competition, Laura Sard and Zach Carr of CES/Rehab topped the competitors beating Artone (second) and Sagewell Family Services at Gustavus Adolphus (third).
At Mulligan's Golf & Fun Center, Gavin Bishop and Steve Hansen of Chautauqua County Government (Large Division) came to play by getting the top final score from the indoor golf longest drive challenge. Second and third place went to The Resource Center and UPMC Chautauqua respectively.
In the Small Division, Branden Johnson and Dennis Lefler of Trinity/GCFCU rallied for the 100 points, beating CES/Rehab (second) and Artone (third).
Overall, Cummins (900 points) and Artone (755 points) lead the Large and Small divisions respectively.
The YMCA Battle continues this evening with trivia at Wicked Warren's (Jamestown) at 6 p.m. and steel tip darts at Haggy's Hatchet House at 6 p.m. for both divisions.
